SBIR Deputy Project Manager at the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC)
Colleen Gibney is the SBIR Deputy Project Manager at the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC). The USAMRMC SBIR Office coordinates the Defense Health Agency SBIR and STTR Programs, and manages health-related topics for the Army SBIR and STTR Programs. Prior to her Army civilian role, Colleen provided SBIR and STTR technology transition and commercialization assistance to small business performers as a Technical Assistance Advocate support contractor.
Ms. Gibney previously served as the SBIR Program Director for ITAC, the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership center for New York City, and as a Project Manager for an NSF Partnerships for Innovation-funded program at the City University of New York’s Institute for Software Design and Development.
Colleen maintains Project Management Professional and DAWIA Program Management Level 1 certifications. She holds an M.S.I.S. in Information Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University, and performed her undergraduate work in Asian Studies at Mount Holyoke College.
